A Profitable Summer
Working at an assembly plant

After the second semester at Tech I made my way back to Ft Worth looking for another job. Dee and Austin were still living in their tiny apartment, but I found a job at an auto air conditioning assembly plant within walking distance of where they lived. The work was not heavy but a bit tedious and I had it fairly easy until the manager of the plant announced to us that they were closing the plant. My best memory is that I returned home to Mt Zion and worked as a carpenter's assistant with my Dad.
